Meet My Latest Obession-pink faux fur!
Call me impractical, but I’ve always wanted an over-the-top pink fur coat. I’m not sure what draws me to them, but I feel like it's a wardrobe essential for some like me as crazy as it sounds. As with any specific taste, pink fur coats are pretty hard to find. Even if you manage to find one that isn't ugly, it probably wont button or zip up. And even those tend to be way overpriced, or cheaply made. So where did I find this cutie? It's one of my many shopping not so secret secrets: Pacific Mall! Its an Asian themed mall that sells a lot of unique styles popular in Korea, China and Japan. It's also famous for knockoffs and purikura (do people still do that?). I had no intention of buying a coat that day and I certainly don't need more clothes, but when I saw the pink furry coat of dreams I couldn't resist. The little shop sold party dresses as well as real and faux fur. The little old ladies there were so nice and patient with me as I tried on every color and style while having a deep inner conflict with myself. In the end the coat I picked was short and boxy with fine, silky faux fur and a wavy design across the front and best of all-It has buttons!. I think it was a great deal at $59. Too bad, I might have to wait until spring to wear it again :(
