I Went to a Japanese Maid Cafe! (and it was awesome!)
Hello again Bohemian Blog Buddies! I would like to start off by expressing how grateful and blessed I am to be actively pursuing my hobbies and interests. I know not everyone is fortunate enough to believe in themselves. Trust me I didn't and I had every excuse in the book preventing me from living life to the fullest. So anyways, continuing with our love of Japanese anime and pop culture me and fellow Boho blogger Ankita hit up Uncle Tetsus maid cafe and cheesecake factory. And what an experience, it was like an otaku heaven!
As expected, the waitresses were dressed like French maids and they sometimes have butlers for the ladies as well. The waitresses were some of the happiest and friendliest I have ever encountered and they even perform live shows. It sounds lame but if you are a nerd like me, you will love it for sure! We ordered the Shiratawa which is a dessert made with red bean paste, mochi and ice cream. I also tried their famous cheesecake platter before and that was yummy too. I think the best part was when we got to wear their uniforms and have a professional photo shoot.
The decor had a cute, pastel vibe and I loved the atmosphere and I'm more inspired than ever to do dome jpop inspired outfits. I adore the jpop group FAKY and I think they have such a cool image. I wish they were more popular in the West! Also, I recently watched the US version of ghost in the shell and and I was so disappointed with how they dumbed down the content. But I kind of expected that to happen. One day I should visit Japan and file a complaint..... hee hee ;)
